2007 brought about
significant changes for Robert Maynor Racing, Inc. Since 2001, the team could
be found every Sunday racing at the Slinger Super Speedway. The same was true
the early part of the season in 2007 but there was a strong desire to seek
new challenges and experiences in racing. The question was where. We began
the task of looking at the various options available to us in the midwest and
the choices became clear, the newly formed ASA Midwest Tour, the ASA Late
Model Series and the CRA Super Series. We entered various events in each
series throughout the season to test the waters in each. Along the way, we
were fortunate enough to compete in some of the most prestigious events in
the midwest including the Governors Cup at The Milwaukee Mile, The Inaugural
Circle Track Nationals at ORP, The Budweiser 250 at Anderson, the Winchester
400 and the All American 400 in Nashville. Participating in these events
brought a new level of excitement and enthusiasm that we had been looking
for. Each of the sanctioning bodies are very strong and well managed in their
own right but the CRA Super Series quickly won us over and seemed to be the
right fit for the type of events and racing we were looking for.
We are excited to announce
that we will be running the full season with the CRA Super Series and
competing for the Rookie of the Year title in 2008. It will be no easy task
but no there is no doubt that we are in for a fun and exciting year.
